Friendship Club
for Children with Special Needs
Social skills can be a challenge for children with special needs. The purpose of the Friendship Club is to create a supportive social environment where children can communicate and interact successfully with trained volunteers. This is a free program for families with children with special needs ages 3 years old and up.
Children will be paired with a teenage friend, and together they will enjoy art, play games, participate in grouup activities, read stories and HAVE FUN! Parents stay on premises where they can relax and meet with other parents. After the initial Meet and Greet, the Club will meet on the following dates: October 8, October 22, November 5, November 19, and December 3.
Location: To be announced. Contact Sandi Lane at the Moorpark Family Resource Center (805-552-1917) or Catherine Pedrosa at the Berylwood Simi Valley Family Resource Center (805-582-1214) for more information and to sign up.
